Kentucky State Fair Board Announces Eligibility Changes to The World’s Championship Horse Show

Members of the Kentucky State Fair Board discussed and voted on eligibility changes to The World’s Championship Horse Show that take effect immediately, September 9, 2023.

The motion that was approved stated that there is only one World’s Championship Horse Show that can award a world champion title and that is the World’s Championship Horse Show, which is owned and produced by the Kentucky State Fair Board.  Any American Saddlebred horse show that has a “World Class”, “World’s Champion”, “World’s Championship”, “WC”, or any other similarly named class or event title shall not be recognized by the World’s Championship Horse Show, nor shall its participants earn eligibility points for participation in the World’s Championship Horse Show. There is only one American Saddlebred horse show that can award the title “World Champion”, and it is the World’s Championship Horse Show owned and produced by the Kentucky State Fair Board.
