Futurity & Sweepstakes Buy-In Reminder

A friendly reminder which contains updates with current buy-in fee and dates for non-eligible colts.

World’s Championship Horse Show Futurity and Bill Wise Sweepstakes participants current buy-in fees and dates for non-eligible colts.

For the 2026 Bill Wise Sweepstakes, there will be a one-time buy-in option available for all classes.  These payments will be due to the Kentucky State Fair Board by May 1, 2026, for eligibility in the 2026 Sweepstakes classes.  The amount for each of the Bill Wise buy-ins are:

The buy-in is not necessary for horses who have already had their regular nomination fees paid.  The initial nomination of Two-Year- Olds for 2026 (originally set for September 15, 2025) was extended to March 15, 2026, and has now closed.  WCHS class entries are due on July 2, 2026, on the WCHS Entry Form.

For the 2026 Futurity classes, there will be a one-time buy-in option available for all the classes.  These payments will be to the Kentucky State Fair Board by July 2, 2026, for eligibility in the 2026 Futurity classes.

The buy-in is not necessary for horses who have already had their regular nomination fees paid. The nomination period closed on March 31, 2026. Colts entered in the 2025 Weanling, Yearling, and Two-year-old classes are eligible for the 2026 futurity classes and do not have use the “buy-in” option. WCHS class entries are due on July 2, 2026, on the WCHS Entry Form.
